Hear Us, See Us: We Are More Than One Month is a series that explores the importance of telling all of our history all year round.

This April, "Hear Us, See Us: Voicing the Past," we will meet with museum interpreters to talk about their experiences and challenges giving a voice to the past. How has telling the stories of our ancestors influenced their lives? Explore this topic with us through a blog post and live Zoom presentation, which can be accessed separately and are stand-alone experiences.

The live presentation will take place on Thursday, April 29 at 11 am via Zoom. Special guest panelists will be Brenda Parker, African American Interpretation & Special Projects Coordinator at George Washington’s Mount Vernon, and Jeanne Pirtle, Director of Educational Programs and Partnerships at Historic Sotterley, Inc.

Registrants are encouraged to come to the live presentation with questions to be addressed by the panel.
