Potomac River Clean-Up

This event is no longer on sale.

Sunday June 22

11:00 AM  –  12:30 PM

Attention all nature lovers! Join us to make a positive impact on our environment and keep the Potomac River shoreline of Piscataway Park clean! Gloves, bags, and grabbers will be provided. Closed-toed, sturdy shoes are required. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle and wear long pants.

Participating volunteers must be able to walk moderate distances and travel along the uneven terrain of the shoreline. All ages are welcome, but youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the duration of the clean-up. Registration is not required, but preferred for participation. Paper forms will be provided for day-of registration.

NOTE: Please be aware that you may encounter environmental hazards such as poison ivy. As such, please ensure that you read the entire job hazards list here.

Select "other dates" for more registration date options. Additional registration slots added monthly to coincide with low tide!

The Accokeek Foundation follows masking guidance from the National Park Service and local health agencies. Masks will be required indoors and for outdoor non-socially distanced activities if the COVID-19 community level for Prince George's County, as defined by the CDC, is HIGH at the time of the program.
