Virtual Winter Storytime: Anansi Stories

Come for a first-person historical performance of Cate Sharper, a real woman who was enslaved in Prince George’s County in the 18th century, as she tells a few of her favorite Anansi the Spider stories she heard from her mother and grandmother.  She will also share the history of how the stories came from Africa to America. Our storytimes are geared towards ages 2-5, though older children will enjoy them too. This program is free to attend, but for a fee of $2, you will receive a list of the books and songs we will use as well as a list of materials and detailed instructions for our crafts. If you are registering multiple children, we suggest only purchasing one child+activity ticket, as activity resources can be shared within the household.

After registration, you will receive an email with the Zoom link and instructions for how to log in.
