1:00 PM  –  1:30 PM

Join us for a free walk along as we learn about the plants around us. This introductory program will be guided by one of our knowledgeable naturalists and is meant for those who are curious and want to learn about the plants around them. This short walk is designed for all ages and will cover traditional uses of plants, relationships between plants and their ecosystem, and plant identification. This program is part of our Juneteenth Open House. To register for other Juneteenth Open House programs, click here

This program takes place outdoors over uneven terrain and will be held rain or shine. Participants will need to walk or stand for up to 30 minutes. The Accokeek Foundation may cancel or alter the schedule of this program in the event of severe weather. The Accokeek Foundation follows masking guidance from the National Park Service and local health agencies. Masks will be required indoors and for outdoor non-socially distanced activities if the COVID-19 community level for Prince George's County, as defined by the CDC, is HIGH at the time of the program.

Proceeds from this program support the Accokeek Foundation's land conservation work and educational programs.
